(Oct. 2, 2008) — Master Quoc L. Tran celebrated the grand opening of his new school, “Tran’s Combat Martial Arts Academy,” at 748 Paterson Ave. in East Rutherford, Sept. 20. Tran, the founder and chief instructor of the school, spoke at the event, which was attended by friends, family members, co-workers and church members. Hung Dao Tran, a leader from the Vietnamese Community Church of New York, said a prayer at the grand opening, asking God to bless the school. East Rutherford Mayor James Cassella was also in attendance at the ribbon-cutting.
